It Is Time to Sign Up for Vital Elections Work

We all know 2026 is going to be historic in terms of turnout for a mid term, particularly in Dare County where we have contested local races, Statewide and local Judicial races AND both Don Davis and Roy Cooper on the ballot. At the same time, the NC Board of Elections, now overseen by the State Auditor and his political appointees, is changing rules and polling sites in counties all over the state. As hard as our local Board and staff work to keep elections in Dare County open and orderly, they need citizen volunteers and precinct workers to do it.

As citizens of a democracy, it is UP TO US to make sure our election process remains open, accessible, free and fair.
